Group B Streptococcus Selective Enrichment Broth

LIM Broth™ is manufactured by Copan and supplied as 2ml of enrichment broth in a tube. The LIM medium™ is a modification of Todd Hewitt Broth and is specifically intended for the isolation and enrichment of Group B Streptococcus (GBS), Streptococcus agalactiae, from clinical specimens.

Following incubation, samples enriched in LIM Broth™ can be sub-cultured onto appropriate agar media for further identification and testing. LIM Broth™ is also compatible with the Copan WASP® automated specimen processing module for both broth inoculation and subsequent sub-culture, supporting automated laboratory workflows.

Suitable for clinical specimens collected using Copan eSwab® or FLOQSwab®, particularly vaginal and rectal specimens.
