New product alert
Announcing the launch of our latest product – Whitley AtmoGen – the new and improved Whitley Jar Gassing System.
With fresh, modern graphics, bespoke software, and optional dual gas input, AtmoGen can generate multiple atmospheres - anaerobic, microaerobic and capnophilic – still in the most convenient, rapid and cost-effective way.
Whitley A20 Anaerobic Workstation
The A20 is the perfect step-up from using anaerobic jars to using a workstation. It has the same precise control of parameters as our larger workstations, ensuring the very best anaerobic conditions are maintained. You can check your plates as often as you like and perform tasks inside the workstation without risk to your samples.
Exploring the Latest Research
Catch up the latest research: from the microbiome to metabolic analysis, we have a topic to suit everyone!
DWS is an authorised distributor for COPAN's Liquid Based Microbiology (LBM) range. eSwab® is the only liquid-based, multipurpose collection and transport system that maintains the viability of aerobic, anaerobic and fastidious bacteria for up to 48 hours at room and refrigerator temperature (GC up to 24h). We also supply the eNAT® swab.
Contract Microbiology Services
Our team of microbiologists, with experience in industrial, pharmaceutical and clinical areas, operates within our purpose-built laboratories. Reflecting the company’s product range, we have the skills and equipment to culture diverse aerobic, anaerobic and microaerophilic bacteria.
Whitley H35 Hypoxystation
The H35 Hypoxystation creates hypoxic and anoxic conditions within a controlled and sustained workstation environment. It is ideal for cell and tissue culture researchers wanting to accurately control oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity.
No need for serial dilutions with the WASP Touch spiral plater! This robust, reliable device could really save time and money in your laboratory, whether you are calculating MICs or studying the human microbiome.
Colony Counting/Zone Reading
An automated microbial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) analysis system for faster results in busy clinical laboratories. Use ChromaZona to generate objective, repeatable, traceable data in double-quick time and to EUCAST standards.
Calibration vs Validation
Do you know the difference between calibration and validation services? We have a new video that helps to explain this very issue.
See the video on our UKAS page or on our YouTube channel.
DWS is accredited by UKAS to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for:
- Temperature calibration within the range -80°C to 140°C
- Non-automatic weighing instrument calibration within the range 0-9kg
Walk Away Specimen Processor (WASPLab™)
The complete robotic specimen processing system for front end pre-analytics in microbiology. It is a fully automated, barcode-driven, conveyor-connected system with remote plate image analysis and automatic incubation.
The all-in-one laboratory aspirator ensures biological liquid waste can be aspirated and disposed of quickly and safely - whether it is the delicate removal of supernatants or the rapid emptying of larger culture flasks.
Whitley i2 Workstation
This workstation was developed specifically to house the Seahorse Extracellular Flux (XF) Analyzer in hypoxic conditions. It has a 4 litre integral incubator, a temperature controlled storage area for preconditioning cell ware. You can now incubate plates/media at 37°C under the same atmospheric conditions as your XF Analyzer.
Whitley A135 HEPA Workstation
A taller, wider workstation with our unique internal HEPA filtration system - exceeds the requirements of ISO 14644 Class 3. The A135HEPA provides excellent anaerobic conditions with a large working area, ideal for working with other items of laboratory equipment.
Automatic media preparators optimised for the preparation of sterile liquid media. Available in three different sizes for the preparation of between 1 and 50 litres of media.
