Anaerobic Bacteria Enrichment Broth

Thiol Broth™ is manufactured by Copan and supplied as 4ml of enrichment broth in a tube. It is a universal enrichment broth designed to support the recovery and growth of anaerobic bacteria from clinical specimens.

Following incubation, Thiol Broth™ allows a turbidity check after 24 hours to assess for growth of strict anaerobes. Samples enriched in Thiol Broth™ can be sub-cultured onto appropriate agar media for further identification and testing. Thiol Broth™ is also compatible with the Copan WASP® automated specimen processing module for both broth inoculation and subsequent sub-culture, supporting automated laboratory workflows.

Suitable for clinical specimens collected using Copan eSwab®, FLOQSwab®, or liquid specimens.
