UTM® is manufactured by Copan and supplied in a 16 × 100 mm tube containing 3 ml of universal transport medium, together with a flexible minitip FLOQSwab® featuring a moulded break point. It is suitable for collecting samples from the eye, ear, nasal passages, nasopharynx, throat, urogenital tract and paediatric sites.
