SRK® is manufactured by Copan and supplied with a Regular FLOQSwab® in a tube containing 1ml of neutralising pre-moistening medium in a sponge, together with a separate tube containing 10ml of Rappaport Vassiliadis Broth (RVS).

Rappaport Vassiliadis Broth is a selective enrichment broth used for the enrichment of Salmonella spp. Following incubation at 41.5°C for 24 hours, the broth changes colour from bright blue to an opalescent white when Salmonella is present. The enriched sample can then be transferred onto an appropriate selective agar for further testing.

Suggested surfaces include those found in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
