Don Whitley Scientific (DWS) understands that equipment failure can cause a wide range of issues, which is why we make it our mission to prevent downtime before it happens. We offer all of UK customers comprehensive maintenance and repair contracts on a variety of equipment to ensure that their laboratory equipment has received all the necessary checks and servicing. This helps ensure that equipment operates effectively and efficiently, reducing unnecessary costs, downtime and the need for replacements. Preventative maintenance also promotes a safer work environment and boosts productivity in the workplace.
At DWS, we design and manufacture all of our products in-house. This means that our engineers possess a broad and comprehensive knowledge of all DWS products as they have full factory training and the continuous support of our own R&D and production team. Additionally, as official distributors for ABE, Tuttnauer, Copan, Ebers Medical, Synoptics and Dickson, our engineers are trained by these manufacturers – training that is not available to everyone. This arrangement also means that we have continuous access to genuine replacement parts.
Another advantage that sets our service team apart, is that we carry a large number of spare and replacement parts with us. This avoids unnecessary delays, increases the likelihood of a first-time fix, minimises the need for urgent, expensive deliveries, and assures our customers that the parts will arrive in top-quality condition.
In almost all cases, we are able to carry out repairs on site or, if this is not possible, we can install loan units to minimise customer downtime whilst repairs are carried out at our premises. With some of our newer equipment, we have the facility to connect remotely to check any error messages and make necessary adjustments. We have carefully considered all the ways in which we can prevent or minimise downtime, enabling customers to return to work as smoothly as possible.
